5 VoIP Myths that May Be in Your Way

Voice over Internet Protocol is a very simple concept, but that simplicity tends to contribute to quite a few misconceptions. These misconceptions often prove to be a barrier to a business embracing what could be an excellent opportunity to improve operations. Here, we’ll discuss and disprove some of these misconceptions so you feel more comfortable potentially embracing VoIP as a viable solution for you.

“VoIP Is Too Expensive!”

Since VoIP utilizes your Internet connection (it’s right in the name, after all), you no longer need to pay the phone company to utilize their phone lines to make voice calls. “VoIP Isn’t Reliable Enough!”
VoIP is exactly as reliable as your Internet connection is, so if it isn’t reliable, you have a bigger problem on your hands. Plus, the technology behind VoIP has made major leaps over the years in call quality and ease-of-use. If your last experience with a VoIP call was five years ago and dodgy, it’s important to know that time has been good for the replacement of traditional landlines.

“VoIP Is More Trouble Than It’s Worth!”
